Many of you have been asking for more accessible freeride options at Sentiers du Moulin. Fresno, our new blue freeride trail, was built with exactly that goal in mind: creating a trail that is fun, progressive, and enjoyable to ride.
Following Sauce Piquante and Habanero, the pepper family continues to grow with this new 0.8 km descent in the Baribal sector. Designed to inspire confidence, Fresno offers riders an approachable introduction to freeride in a welcoming environment where the joy of riding comes first.
The trail follows a narrow corridor that preserves the character of a true singletrack. Natural terrain features, berms, and small freeride elements flow seamlessly from one section to the next. Every part of the trail was designed to encourage progression while keeping the ride dynamic and engaging.
There are three ways to access Fresno: via La Raph, via Grand Duc Road, or from the end of Lutin Tom, accessible from Summit 1. At the bottom of the trail, riders can return via the Baribal climb for an easier option or take the Chute Road for a steeper and more demanding return.
This project represents hundreds of hours of work. From planning and design to clearing, shaping, and test rides, every step was focused on making the most of Baribal’s natural terrain. If you’re new to freeride, take the time to inspect features before riding them. Adjust your speed to your skill level, and don’t hesitate to bypass any feature that feels beyond your comfort zone. Fresno was designed to support progression, but confidence is built one section at a time.
